Vineyards & cultivation

Environmentally friendly cultivation and careful production

Our vineyards are located in the immediate vicinity of the winery and have been cultivated by generations of winegrowers from our family. The light, weathered slate soils and the special climate of our region give our Rieslings a unique, fruity character.

We apply organic cultivation principles in our vineyards. Greening promotes beneficial insects and prevents the leaching of important nutrients. We attach great importance to quality and focus on pruning the vines with reduced yields in order to achieve higher Oechsle levels and better wine constituents.

We combine proven methods and state-of-the-art technology to produce excellent quality. The red wines mature unfiltered in barrique barrels, while the white wines ferment in stainless steel tanks and remain on the fine lees. This results in wines of exceptional lightness and clarity.
